GREEN CROSS - RETURNS POLICY
This returns policy (“Returns Policy”) of Green Cross, a division of A & D Spitz (Pty) Ltd (“the Company” or “Green Cross”) and the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”) should be adhered to at all times. Some credits may be processed at management’s discretion. This Returns Policy also applies to Lay-By items.
Note: If merchandise was purchased on sale or promotion, the exchange or refund will be to the value actually paid (the discounted price shown on the till slip).
1. Non-Defective Merchandise
Non-Sale/Promotional Items
Customers may return merchandise within 30 (thirty) days of purchase, provided that:
- The merchandise is in its original condition and packaging
- The merchandise has not been worn or used
- The price ticket and labels are attached
- The original till slip is presented
- Promotional gifts are returned with the merchandise
- The merchandise is returned in the country of purchase
Sale/Promotional Items
Customers may return sale or promotional merchandise within 7 (seven) days of purchase under the same conditions above.
2. Defective Merchandise
Customers are entitled to a refund, repair, or exchange of merchandise that does not comply with section 55 of the CPA, provided that:
- Returned within 6 months of purchase (or delivery for Lay-By)
- Proof of purchase is presented
- The item was used for its intended purpose
- Returned in the country of purchase
Repaired items carry a 3-month warranty. If still defective after repair, the customer may choose a refund or exchange.
Merchandise will not be regarded as defective if damage results from:
- Normal wear and tear
- Negligence or misuse
- Alteration contrary to manufacturer instructions
3. Exclusions
- Items altered or repaired without written authorisation
- Soiled items (if not defective)
4. Refunds
If a refund qualifies under this policy, Green Cross will refund the full purchase price paid (or the discounted price if purchased on sale).
- Cash/debit/gift card purchases: refunded in cash or gift card
- Credit card purchases: refunded to original credit card
- Account purchases: credited to the customer account
